2026 IFWY

What is Eunpyeong Conference?

The next chapter of IFWY begins in Eunpyeong, following the 2025 IFWY, which brought together more than 27,000 young people from 163 countries.

Building on the methodology and spirit of IFWY, the 2026 Eunpyeong IFWY is an academy-style international youth forum where young people from around the world come together in Eunpyeong to explore global issues, exchange ideas, and grow as global leaders.

Under the theme “Culture as Our Common Future,” participants will explore and develop their own agendas at a time of profound change, where climate change, technology, inequality, and conflict intersect.

Through formal UN-style debates, participants will work together to develop the Eunpyeong Declaration.

Tomorrow’s leaders are gathering in Eunpyeong today.

Theme

Culture as Our Common Future

In 2026, the world stands at the intersection of multiple crises: climate change, geopolitical conflicts, inequality, and polarization driven by artificial intelligence.

2026 IFWY calls for youth to participate at the governance table not as recipients of protection, but as political actors and decision-makers, and to co-create a more peaceful and inclusive world through culture.

Participants will select their first- and second-choice tracks when applying.

The Global Dialogue and Eunpyeong Conference will be conducted by thematic track.

  • In an era when it is impossible to preserve every piece of heritage, what should we prioritize? And how can we restore intangible heritage and cultural identities that are disappearing due to climate-induced migration?

  • As the creative economy expands, how can we design fair revenue-sharing systems and social safety nets for young creators facing increasingly precarious working conditions?

  • How can we move beyond “digital colonialism,” in which algorithmic bias marginalizes non-Western cultures, minority communities, and youth culture?

  • In the age of generative AI, how should we redefine the rights of human creators and the value of human-made creativity?

  • What role can youth play in peacebuilding by transforming the restoration of cultural heritage destroyed as a weapon of war into a means of dialogue and reconciliation?

  • How can youth secure a meaningful “seat at the decision-making table” as part of collective action within the international community?
